My name is Matthew Williams,  I'm an Adjunct Athletic Counselor here at SMC with over 13 years of counseling experience in the California Community College system. I am also a former community college student-athlete who earned a full Division I football scholarship to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).

 

My personal journey fuels my passion for helping student-athletes navigate the academic, personal, and athletic challenges of higher education. As a proud native Angeleno of African American and Mexican American heritage, I'm committed to fostering equity, leadership, and student success while empowering diverse student populations to achieve their educational and career goals beyond athletics.
