The Santa Monica College Women's Volleyball team continues its dominant postseason run, advancing to the third round of the 3C2A SoCal Regional Playoffs. The Corsairs will face Golden West College this Saturday, November 29 at 5:00 PM, with a berth to the 3C2A State Championship on the line.

SMC enters the matchup riding major momentum. The Corsairs opened the playoffs by defeating Santa Barbara City College in a five-set thriller during the WSC Crossover (25-21, 19-25, 25-20, 14-25, 15-10). They followed that performance with an authoritative sweep last night over Pasadena City College, 3–0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-21).

In the win over Pasadena, SMC held the Lancers to a .074 hitting percentage while posting one of their cleanest defensive performances of the season. Offensively, the Corsairs were led by balanced contributions across the lineup, with standout efforts from several players. SMC finished the match hitting .127 as a team and recorded 45 total points to Pasadena's 39.

The Corsairs now sit at 25–4 overall, boasting one of the top offenses in the state with 12.9 kills per set, .239 hitting, and a season-long 16-match winning streak. Saturday's match marks the program's biggest opportunity in over a decade as they seek to punch their ticket to the CCCAA State Championships.
